Astonishing discovery of 'supergiant' crustaceans made off New Zealand

There are ordinary amphipods, known to be mostly tiny shrimp-like crustaceans that thrive in aquatic environments around the world, and now there are "supergiant" amphipods, which are 10 times larger and, frankly, quite freakish-looking (see video and photo).

Raw Video: First Steps of Baby Wombat



Australian rangers captured a baby wombat on camera, taking its first, slightly wobbly, steps out of its burrow with its mother. The video, shot by Queensland Parks and Wildlife, shows the wombat coming out into the open in night vision footage.

Artistic Gorilla Statues in London



Tourists at the River Thames in London got a rather unusual view for their holiday photographs on Friday. An army of 20 life-sized, individually decorated model gorillas were unveiled as part of a gorilla conservation fundraiser.
